Inseam measure - Sunday morning babble
Dec. 16th, 2007 09:20 amWell, my Saturday at the gym was a bit brutal. Since I had the flu last month, I lost time, and momentum. But managed to do the dead lifts, at my PR. And today my muscles are sore. A good sore.
Then later went down to my old territory, Redwood City, to see if a car stereo establishment could repair/replace my dead antenna motor. $200!!!! Think I'll wait on that one. Stopped at Bevmo, and found a Christmas assortment gift of beers from Quebec for my nephew. Then was to go to Harry's Hoffbrau for a quickly lunch (landmark for over 50 yrs). But I saw my late partners parents car there and their son's truck. So did not go in. Felt bad about that, but I would be there all day with them... and had to run. And for other various reasons. Had to be in SF for another toy drive at 5. Which I had just found out about minutes before.
So at the Edge bar. Not too crowded. Griff and I volunteered to sell raffle tix. Since he has a bad hip, I was the one to measure the inseam, with the tix they purchased,if they so liked. Your choice is $1 for one ticket. 10 tickets for $5, or 10 tx for $10, choice of measuring chest or inseam. My friend Daryl is an expert at the inseam tix measure. He gets on his knees, then bury his face into a crotch, as measuring the floor to crotch with tickets. Then runs the tix though both hands, splitting the duplicates apart. And of course vibrating the hand across the crotch. Everyone walks away with a "hard one".
So I tried my best at that one. And did ok. And a good opportunity to have my face in someones crotch for a good cause :o).
Two other nice things happened last night.
I met a really and very cute couple from Palm Springs. They had lived there for 10 yrs, and now are back in SF. Think they missed living up here. A quite couple.
And while selling the tickets, I had the nice opportunity to finally get the hot bartender "Mike's" shirt up while measuring his chest. Woof!!!!!! Have wanted to see that part of him for years. And also had the opportunity of getting the other hot handsome bear bartender (think his name is Mike too), shirt off also :o). For not planning to go out yesterday, I did my good deed, and had some cheap thrills too.
We made about $800 for this toy drive. $$$ goes for gifts for the HIV children at Camp Sunburst, and for the SFFD toy drive. Today, another function at Cafe Flore, then the Sundance Saloon (hopefully a hot one I met on DH will be there).
But I really need to stay home, clean house and do some shopping......nah

Date: 2007-12-16 06:27 pm (UTC)He's also a good kisser, and makes a VERY alcoholic pour! The Edge is a fav of mine when I am in town, although when it gets *too* crowded, I tend to bolt. I need to at least be able to hear the voices in my own head.
If you happen upon

Date: 2007-12-16 06:52 pm (UTC)is very partnered... so I think it would not get no further than that:( Drinks! Ouch! My hangover! Mikey and the very cute bearish bartender (with perky nips) both make very strong pours alright. And they both gave me free ones, which adds to this mornings headache. I certainly will say hi to the Lj friends. Thing is, sometimes one does not recognize the peeps in the flesh. So hopefully one of us will recognize one another :)
