Our "Bear" is not doing well...
May. 2nd, 2007 07:23 amIt's been 4 days since George's first Chemo treatment (CLICK HERE). That evening, he was feeling well. In fact they gave him some steroids, and he was up, hyper, and full of energy, late into the night, cleaning house etc..... "what a buzz" he said. "Steroids are awesome!". But a few days later, he was a getting fatigued. And as of yesterday, after doing a few errands, he is spent, and too pooped. So sleeping quite a bit. His next therapy is in 14 days :-(. I don't think he will be here for awhile.
As for us here, I have been fortunate, to have some backup with maintenance from our other complexes; but still is not enough. I am doing some of the maintenance and repairs (yes I am pretty handy around the house due to yrs of managing property). So of course swamped this week with lease ups (yay!)... will these units be ready in time... Who knows? And of course corporate messed up on my Fair Housing seminar (mandatory..state law), and scheduled it for this morning instead of July. So 4 hrs lost from work... Ok. Stop complaining. On the nice side, our painters were here on time, and of course the owner, is absolutely hot! Actually way hot! And very friendly....Hummmmmmm... I wonder...... Nah! Never hit on vendors; can get one in trouble...(although in the long ago past, Fed Ex "has delivered", if you know what I mean) :-)
On a much lighter note Palm Springs weekend is near.... and of course looking forward to that. The only possible problem is that we have a new weekend person starting here this weekend, so I have a feeling that my pool side "activities" will be interrupted by many cell phone calls. Hope not.
While in PS I'm looking forward to meeting a few people I have met on line (woof!). Who knows, Khol (my travel mate); may not see me too much this weekend; at least I hope :-)
