OK. Every year I complain about the Christmas pressure and the added family pressure. I still was not in the holiday mood. Thinking this is as usual still too commercialized. My family felt somewhat the same too. But you know what? I still had a nice time with my sister, her family, her friends and my mom. That I will always cherish. I suppose, tradition, of any kind, a yearly thing, whether it be a holiday, or whatever, is what keeps us going. If we had nothing to look forward to, then what a waste. It's these little things, the yearly things. The reunions with friends , families etc that keeps us living.
I'm tying to convince our family to forgo the the gifts and take a not too expensive Carnival Cruise to Mexico next year. Might be fun. The Holiday decorations will be up on the ship. No cooking. And Cuban cigars!!!
