A night for a delicious dinner and a great movie (sans earthquake)

My friend Joe and I went to my usual favorite spot for dinner; The Basque Cultural Center, in South San Francisco. Food is good as always. Joe had the pepper steak (large!). I had my usual Lamb Steak. The entree included a light broccoli soup, and a delicious salad. In fact you can purchase a large container of the salad dressing with the "secret sauce" for only $5.00. Which we did. And no earthquakes (tremors) this time (last time I went there, there was apparently an earthquake(tremor) during my meal. Did not feel it.

After dinner, we rolled our full stomachs down the street for a late movie; Ratatouille. Very good, fun film; PIXAR. Worth a see. And might be a future DVD purchase.

Mushy and hurl......

My straight girl friends always send me those awful emails, with cutesie angels, kittens, dogs, ducks, you name it; with slogans like: "Be my Friend, or "Your the best Friend in the World", "Big Hugs from your best friend" , "The Angels love you" etc. Some of the verbiage and pictures go on forever. And if you send the message back to them and your sixty million friends..... you will have good luck, go to heaven, win the Lotto? Who knows? If you don't send the messages back, your doomed? Sent to hell? Your head falls off?

I hate those things. I know they mean well..... but it makes me want to puke. I just click "delete".

Home early from a too packed Eagle Beer Bust, to eat my T-Bone steak and watch TV.

I am currently watching a French musical, "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg with a young Catherine Duneuve and Nino Castelnuovo (Woof!). No spoken script; all singing, and of course subtitled). Has good old familiar standards of the. 60's.... nice mellow change.
