Android Play
Feb. 8th, 2012 10:54 pmWell even though I've had my little phone for awhile, I really have not downloaded too much so far, but now beginning to (Scruff and Grindr are now downloaded). I know many of you know about apps like this already. I have seen hundreds of apps available ranging form Sleep Hypnosis, tp to a Sports Pro tracking system (tracks walks, runs, bike rides etc), to Self Help - Depression.
I did find a fun app, that is interesting: While shopping for food, you can scan the bar code with your phone. It then tells you what the product is, calories, carbs, and nutrition info. Grades the product (A-, B+, C, etc). Also lists the diet points (the lower the points listed, the better, when dieting). It also suggests another product that could be better (on the A list). This is supposedly an independent site, with no interference from the food companies. This is called Fooducate.

Another app, is the fitness app. Once you input your physical info, the days you exercise, and your goal in pounds lost per week/month, it can then calculate, once you plug info of what you ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, what calories you consumed for the day, what calories you have left to consume, if you want. Then calculates if for that day, what weight you will lose for the week or month given that diet for the day. I suppose once you input the weeks worth of food intake, it will calculate your target loss for the month, or months to come.
I don't think this is the best thing, or maybe the best of all to go by, but it is interesting to see the calculations. I will give it a try though. This is call My Fitness Pal
