Yesterday was too fun
Sep. 24th, 2007 11:38 amand I am feeling it today. Pooooped! Sunday I got to 440 bar about 10 am, some people were there already. We had our usual pre- LW bloody mary's. Had the nice chance to speak with Andy & Bill, who happened to be there, of BMB, about the legal ramifications of running those sites, and problems that may be ahead with the govn't, censorship and all. Was quite interesting. As the morning progressed, the bar started to fill. Having rained yesterday, the air was fresh, and the sun was slowly poking out of the clouds.
The speeches, which were kept short, began. Suzie Wong as also acknowledged. She passed away this very same morning (cancer). Onward, we then marched down Market Street, cars were honking, crowds cheering. Our first pit stop was the Powerhouse Bar. Again, a few comments were said on stage. After about 45 min, we then headed at the final stop, the SF Eagle. For the beer bust, the SOMA Bare Chest Calendar Men auction with Lenny Broberg.
Of course this time, I decided to be a bit more positive about meeting new people, and was quite the aggressive for a change. Not just standing there like a lump. "Lets say Hi to the "cliques". Well as the evening went on, we and a few others went back to the Castro and ended up at the Edge Bar. Met some old cronies, and some new men. I for somehow lost my shirt in the bar, and was searching everywhere. About an hour later my friend Ho showed up with it. Someone had put it on him, and did not know it (he was a bit blitzed). I did a bit of misbehaving in the bar... but it was all clean flirtatious fun :o). Forget the gym tonight. Tonight will be a very early evening.
