Water weight?
Nov. 14th, 2007 07:38 amI have not been to the gym since Saturday due to my cold. Since Saturday I've gained 7 pounds. Hope it's water weight. Actually I hope it's muscle. Hummm maybe I'm pregnant.

Hello MEN IN GEAR Supporters,
First, I would like to thank everyone who has supported and attended MEN IN GEAR gatherings over the last year.
As the founder and organizer of MEN IN GEAR, I have enjoyed getting the leather community back out into the bars – face to face – and off their computers.
Many people around the country have said the leather scene is dead. And many in San Francisco have said with the closing of the Loading Dock there has not been a bar that has catered to the leather community.
I would like to change that.
My partner/spouse and I are in the process of seeking approval to open a leather bar in the old “My Place” space. You may even remember it years back as the “Ramrod.”
This will be a place where anybody can show up in whatever gear they want and feel comfortable. Where the bartenders, management and owners will gear up every day. Not once a month, not once a week, but everyday.
What I ask of you is to write a letter of support. With all the meetings and hearings that we face, our efforts will be aided by your words of support showing there is a need and want for a leather bar for our community.
Mailing or emailing a letter of support – all is good, and all will help us through the approval process.
I will keep you posted, and I thank you in advance for your written support and ongoing encouragement.

what's up with the weather?
Nov. 14th, 2007 02:53 pmOne minute cold and rainy, the next day hot. It is mid November. It is around 70º today, but feels like 80º. Last week it was cold. Odd. Bet we'll be slammed by bad stuff soon.

Nov. 14th, 2007 07:28 pmOK. I currently pay a bit extra to AT&T to have my home phone number unlisted. Now I am getting calls from Sears, and other businesses soliciting holiday credit card specials. Oy! In the past, I was even solicited via my cell phone. What gives?
