the flu is upon us
Dec. 6th, 2007 07:53 amFor those gym bunnies out there; WASH YOUR HANDS after work out! As I was on the treadmill the other day, this woman next to me was blowing her nose and snot into her shirt (the inside collar area). Ewwwww! This is the 2nd time I have seen her do this. Then she is going around every where touching everything. A lot of people are sick this season, and still going to the gym. At all times, as many of you already know, it's best to keep your hands out of your face and eyes when working out. Everyone has been touching, sneezing, coughing, and sweating on the equipment. This is good practice at all times.
I have always felt that these soaps really do no good at all. This obsession with antibacterial this and that products, I believe, is spawning a new generation of resistant bacteria (the Darwin game), which we do not need.
For my kitchen counter tops, I just use either Windex, or the best, old fashioned diluted Chorox in a spray bottle (this is also the trick used to kill mold spores inside of walls after water intrusion). For my bathrooms, I use the same, X-14, and Comet too.

chips is free tonight
Dec. 6th, 2007 09:09 pmTonight, chips, my pet turtle, is out of his tank, and exploring the apartment. Now that he as grown much much bigger, I don't have to worry about him going and sleeping under tight things. Thus making it difficult to retrieve later.
Later, as I read my new health insurance election stats, I will rub the area on his nose, between his eyes, as he rests on my chest or belly. He loves it. Puts him to sleep. He is such a good pet. Arf!
