Here we go again? Not funny.
Jan. 15th, 2008 08:05 amThis has hit the local news stations this morning, and several of you have already posted this. Is this something that we will scoff at again, and say, "Oh, it won't happen to me. Not a big deal."
I remember, in the early 80's when AIDS was just a whisper on ones lips. "Oh. Not us. It's happening on the East Coast. Everything will be fine. It will pass." Then there was the Hep scare in the bars. So now this. Shit! So now when I go out to the bars, or meet someone on line, now I have to worry about this? I can put a condom on my pee pee, but not on my body. So, is this "really" something to be concerned about? Is this too much news hype (we thought the early AIDS reports were too). Will it evolve to something worse? Or just pass with time. Again, this is more ammo for those fag bashers :(.
I almost give up. Lock myself in my home and never go out. Well not really. But this is annoying.
