Today is our all day company meeting. It is more of a Rah Rah thing. Guest speakers, and sorta fun and games. I call it the "Dog and Pony Show". It is generally a waste of time, especially since I have tons of office stuff to catch up on, but at the same time, once over, your glad you went (mandatory). But I'd rather play hooky and go to Mac World instead.
Last summer it was at the San Francisco Zoo, outside. The to do for fun and games, was sort of a car rally on foot, all over the zoo. We were in teams. Yes. I did see the infamous cat that attacked and killed the young man.

Today it's at AT&T Park. Home of the SF Giants. So wonder what they have in store? Of course it's a baseball theme I'm sure. Well gotta shower and run.

Our company event, even though I go to them kicking and screaming, was not bad. AT&T park was beautiful! Sunny. The bay sparkling. Nice. They did the hour of awards, the a great catered lunch of ball park, dogs, burgers, salads; Yum! Then a guest speaker/magican/comedian. Yet he kept itching his crotch. Strange. Maybe that's where all the mechanic mechanisms are to complete his magical tricks.

So out early, and in the Castro. I always make it a point to get my STD's checked quarterly. Even though I am clean, and all ok, the last time I checked; I still make it a point. So I am at Magnet, the free health clinic that my friend Steve Gibson runs (behind Walgreen's on 18th). While waiting I am here typing this LJ post on one of the four guest PC's.

So here is my neurotic thought. I play off and on as most of us do. But now it looks like the method or frequency of play may be different? Will be different for all of us. I have a few buds that I meet. Not often (not since Oct or Nov), but meet. Sometimes it leads to play, sometimes not. So looks like that may stop. I know where I have been, but where have they been recently? And who do they play with? This has always been my thought, but now with this new virus, looks like one may have to think more seriously. I would think that since this virus is new the possibility of contraction for now, is low. But what about 3,6,9,12 months from now? This is where I wish and would hope to have a monogamous (if that really exists) and closed relationship. Which would ease the sexual pressure of contracting any disease. Am I being too neurotic? Oops! My name is being called. Off to offer my samples :) No time to spell check!

part 2 of my clinic visit
Well, I gave up my cells from the back of the throat (he said I have a good gag reflex :)
And then the nurse said "drop your pants and spread em". I said, "What? Not dinner and a movie first?". He laughed and said the last patient responded by saying, "but that's what got me here." LOL!

PS The guys that work at Magnet are so cute!

Just a thought.
How many readers and local Bay Area readers, that are old enough (or young enough) to remember these things:
- Milkmen delivering milk to your home
- Going to the hardware with a bag of TV tubes, to test and replace as needed.
- Having your TV repaired, at home, by your friendly TV repair man. Note: Our TV lived for over 15 yrs until the picture tube really hit bottom.
- Going on the roof to adjust the TV antenna. And if you were lucky you received 40 stations.
- Taking your small appliances to a repair shop to repair, instead of just throwing out and replacing. I think we were less of a disposable society then.
- We wore cotton. No synthetics, or very little. Guess we thought green then too.
- The front door of your home, was rarely locked
