how early to bed, I am waking up very early. I can't sleep. I am pooped. Off to bring my moms car to Firestone. Just discovered the axial boot is broken. The gym is next door. So think I will just do a treadmill walk. If the car is not ready, I can walk across the street and pick up the cargo van that I have reserved for todays haul in Roseville. Now I haven't planned that well in a long time. I have been very unorganized lately.

My sister called yesterday, and asked me to plan a list for the funeral. She has the address books :(, so how could I?. Then she decided that since mom liked to entertain, we will forgo the church thing (my mom was not as religious as she got older), and do a party/memorial service at my sisters house with moms Roseville friends. And we will do the same thing at where we grew up in Menlo Park. Small service at the cemetery site, as we did for my dad. Then a luncheon at Il Forniao in Palo Alto (we did a surprise 85th B-day for her there last yr). I think mom will be pleased.

Even with the nightly fog, the days in South San Francisco have looked like this. Here is the sun through the smoke. The sun (although not showing up here) is bright red.
I am off to Sacramento. The haze in the valley is worse, since there is very little breeze. Hot, humid, hazy - "Earthquake Weather". It smells like an ashtray or dirty fireplace. And looks like every one has been "smoking pot". Eyes red everywhere.

loaded up the cargo van with my moms bedroom furniture. Oops! I dropped scratched a bit. But with Howards restore finish liquid, and some 0000 steel wool, I can repair when I get home

Exhausted, we (my sister and I), went to the morturay to finalize and sign paper work. Cute mortician.

Lamb chops, brussel sprouts, and coucous for dinner. Yum! Also Martini's and wine included.

We then went over old family picture albums, dating back to the 30's. Sad but we also had good laughs, with tears scattered here and there.

Up early to get the furniture back home, and return the van. Is this finally over? Not really, but almost.
