the weekend so far

1. Mark Paladini out did himself in treating over 20 quests to his 40th birthday party. Mostly in part to thank us for being a part of his life.
2. First stop was Pisco Bar. Modern lines, with use of dark woods, almost mix of Asian/European/Latin decor. Upon arriving to the bar, drink tickets were handed out, for our choice of 2 drinks (of Latin flair). Either the Anti Toto, or the Mojito (I think). I had the Anti Toto. We were only to get 2 drink tickets. Suddenly everyone had 4-5.
3. The drinks were good, but very strong (can we say Mercantile Bar (Sac) strong?
4. After about an hour of visiting with guests, it was to the restaurant, Destino, next door.
5. I must say the food and wine were excellent! The service, and the servers (woof), was fabulous.
6. We basically were served everything on the menu (except the sardines).
7. The wine, and long meal lasted over 2 hrs.
8. Then it was off to Martunies for some Martini's (oy!)
9. Then after that it was off to the Powerhouse for Rich Troves event, his 100,000 picture event.
10. Packed we stayed for only one drink.
11. Then it was back to Ho's to crash.
12. Nice thing about SF, is that it is so compact, taking a cab, is so easy and fast.
13. With the mini-meals spread out over the two hr span, no one was getting too tipsy.
Today; Up early and left Ho's for my home to sleep in till 11 am. I was not hung over, but just beat. Did the gym, cardio, and abs late in the afternoon. Skipped the Eagle beer bust. Had my share of beer and such last night. So it's early din din, and an early to bed. I have a busy week this week.
