i feel

like I've been hit by a truck. My first week back from bereavement leave. My shoulder is killing me (I need a cortisone shot) from moving furniture(mostly by myself), and I got 9 hrs sleep, and still feel like I need more. Plus all the Pink Sat & Parade festivities wiped me out. Just cringe when I think about the office. Need to do a weeks catch up. And need to get back to the gym. Think I'll nap at lunch.

Local news media claims San Francisco to be the largest pride parade in the world. But so does NYC & Sao Paulo. I actually thought Sidney's was. Which one is really the largest?

Marriage

I had the nice opportunity to zip down to San Carlos after work, to join Dave, peters_search and his partner Dave, at their home, to celebrate their civil union, which happened today. Congratulations you handsome men! Later on they will have a more traditional ceremony. That event should be a fun and festive one

Oracle

While driving down to San Carlos this evening, I passed the Oracle Buildings located on the east side of Hwy 101. The blue/gray buildings windows were reflecting the setting sun. Not exactly sure what color the glass is, but when the the sun is reflecting on it, it is just beautiful. And the Oracle complex is impressive on its own. The lake was part of the old Marine World Amusement Park, which relocated to Vallejo years ago. I have also heard that Oracle is known to chew you up and spit you out.
