Last week and today
Sep. 23rd, 2009 03:27 pmWhile depositing rent checks at the bank last week, the merchant teller asked me if I wanted to see a counterfeit $100.
1. Apparently one of the local businesses accepted this, not knowing.
2. It looked pretty similar to the real thing, except the number $100 had small gold threads, which the real one does not.
3. The the back of the bill was also beginning to peal apart from the front.
So today I asked her if any new counterfeits
1. She said one of the local elementary school kids was caught buying lunch in the cafeteria with $1.00 bills he printed via his computer. Apparently they did not notice this for awhile
2. They are certainly starting at a young age! :P
