Cooking Fast Food after the Gym
Jul. 9th, 2008 08:34 pmI made the mistake of checking emails and LJ stuff right after work. So I got to the gym late; therefore did only 3 leg exercises instead of 4. And skipped the crunches. :(. Not good.
Tonight is Spaghetti night. But being late, and also due to the fact that stuff like that with tomato sauce will give me heartburn all though my sleep I decided to experiment and make something fast and with protein.
So I;
1. Browned two 1/4 lb. burger patties, one of sirloin beef, the other turkey patty.
2. Once browned, drain juices/fat. Return to low heat
3. Then add a pinch of sea salt, McCormick's Grill Mates Roasted Garlic Montreal Chicken Seasoning, McCormick's Italian Seasoning.
4. Then two slices of 50% fat free Swiss Cheese (cheddar would of been better)
5. 2-4 tablespoons of Mild Salsa (I luv salsa)
6. Cook brown rice "Minute Rice". Enough for 3-4 servings
7. Once rice and meat are cooked, and cheese melted, pour meat into rice pot and stir.
8. Then dish up
9 I nuked some veggies for a side dish
To my surprise it was actually good. And filling. I ate enough for 3. Let's see if I get heartburn tonight :(
