cellboy: (Mr Peabody and Sherman)
I have always felt that maybe we just tend to give too much attention to Celebrity. Making some of them the the ICON of icons. In this media/internet age, it seems maybe, that it may be getting worse? Or just too much? Spin, marketing, spin, and an overabundance of press releases on all venues. Are we almost brainwashed to thinking how maybe too great they are, when they really are not? They may be impressive. But to make them almost a God? How healthy, especially for the young, is it to place too much attention on the celebrity. Is this teaching the young, misplaced priorities? Is it really all that important?
This guy might have a point:

1. My maintenance man is on vacation as of today.
2. So quiet! No annoyance.
3. Yesterday, we had a good talk about his work performance etc. I think he finally gets it.
4. I have more to do in the am, now that he is gone; power washing, some cleanup, light repairs, painting, etc... but I'll survive.
4. My trainer worked hard on my legs on Monday. I am still sore! I get up out of my chair like an old man (lol)
5. We had a great work out last night, Shoulders. He taught me some new routines on the Smith Machine (the shoulder stuff that weight lifters train for). Today my shoulders are sore. Tomorrow it will be worse I know.
6. So tonight, rest. Tomorrow am, I work on my own. Back and biceps.
7. Our goal is to get bigger (especially biceps/triceps), and also work more on cardio which he says will pump the blood to the muscles more, to feed the growth. I'm for that. Also work on Abs (I hate working on abs). His pushing me is what I need. I won't be a huge muscle bear by Lazy Bear, but at least I'll feel better about myself.
8. Office work is getting caught up.
9. I don't know why, but I still get to sleep too late. Need to change that tonight.
