Small cars of the 50's and 60's have always intrigued me. I remember the tiny Austin Mini Coopers of the 50's, and of course today's Cooper. Every time I go to SF, I am constantly looking for parking. My Altima is small enough to squeeze into some spots, but the Smart Car can do even better. And your seeing more of them in San Francisco, smartly squeezed between two closely spaced driveway lips and curbs, where even a Mini Cooper cannot fit.
I have also seen them zipping by me at 80+ miles per hour, on the windy Sacramento causeway, or our bay area bridges, thinking; they ride so high, will the wind take them off the road? What if a semi 16 wheeler hit one, to flatten it like a squished tin can? Well, it seems much safer that a motorcycle.
