The weekend, and week so far
Jan. 31st, 2011 03:14 pm1. Not too eventful or exciting, but I did accomplish a lot of house cleaning and chores.
2. My sister was to visit tonight, but she canceled yesterday (knew she would). But still a good excuse to get off my butt and do what needs doing.
3. Patio cleaned, plants pruned, and dead leaves cleaned up. Closets better organized. Some painting touch ups, and house dusted and thoroughly cleaned.
4. Friday was the usual night out with Jim. We ended up at 440 of course. Then later at Orphan Andy's for a burger.
5. Why is it every time I eat there, I feel nauseous after? But the French burger was good.
6. OK. After all the hoopla, and drama, about the Edge Bar closing, it has re-opened. Apparently the Q Bar on Castro purchased it. Who knows. Maybe the lease was negotiated to a better rate with the new building owner.
7. Saturday was home day, with cleaning up etc. I was asleep by 10 pm! I skipped the gym all week, hoping that I am really over the chest cold. I will go back either tonight or tomorrow and do a light arm workout to begin with. Then do the more strenuous stuff later in the week.
8. Sunday morning it was a bit rainy and cold. So I nixed the Eagle bust and headed over to 440 for Sunday Furry Sunday. Nice, and pretty crowded. Friend Boo and Jim and others were there.
9. Home fairly early, I was asleep by 9:30 PM, only to wake up at 3 am! Guess I went to sleep too early. I went on line for a bit to make me drowsy. It worked. Back to bed and asleep by 3:30 am.
10. Tomorrow for the next few days I will be busy with rents coming in.
11. Back to work.

The "gang" and Donna Sachet at Beef Dip
Jan. 31st, 2011 04:41 pmEven though I could not go this year to Beef Dip, I'm glad my friends had a great time. Most return home tonight or tomorrow. With tans! Here is the group I would of hung out with. Our condo is next to the Blue Chairs Beach and Bar.

Apparently Donna Sachet was there too! On the beach out of drag. Here is a photo of her on the beach. LOL

I just saw some Poutine on the Cooking Channel, and now want to try some again. I never ate it growing up. My mom was not keen on junk food. Except for the delicious french fries around the corner from my childhood home (to this day, I am still in heaven when I have a tasty order of fries). In fact don't know why, but my mom never heard of Poutine until we when back to Canada to visit several years ago. My cousins said I must try it. It was not the greatest, but not that bad either (the Poutine at Montreal and Sherbrooke Costco was awful of course! McDonald's was not so hot either). I did find one Poutine place in Sherbrooke that was not bad however. So guess I need to try it again. I know. "Clog a Vein!"
I checked a few places in SF. The Salt House, and Wayfare, but these are a bit pricey places to eat. Especially if they serve this type food as a starter. I just want to find a casual place, for an easy eat. Not too fancy, but good.
If anyone knows of good place for Poutine in the Bay Area, let me know!
