Subject: Surprise Leather Bar at the Skylark
Tonight at 8 dress in leather and head to the Skylark bar on 16th. Mark your money with a pink pen or marker so that it is seen as coming from our community.
This is not about harming the Skylark but rather showing what would be lost if the Eagle went away and showing how queer space is not always the same as "just any bar".
We as a community should be vocal and visible while respecting the space that we are borrowing tonight.

So far the Skylark has not signed a lease due to public pressure. We are the first step closer to saving the Eagle.
The Board of Supervisors issued a Commendation Certificate in recognition of the Eagles efforts in raising over 3 million dollars during its 30 year run for the queer community and are working to have the space land marked. They are also hoping to work with the concerned parties to negotiate a way to keep the Eagle as a space for our community.

Thanks for showing up and especially to the 15 people who stayed till 730 to make public comment at the Board of Supervisors meeting after 6 hours of waiting.

The people united can not be divided.

It's Wednesday already?

Nothing to earth shattering so here it goes:

1. It feels like a slow moving week this week.

2. I did a good job at the gym last night and this week so far. I cut my time to 3-4 days a week for now, and seems to be paying off. There have been a few new faces at the gym. Some look pretty hot. One cute and very young (20's) Latin guy was at the gym Sunday. He kept looking at me. So much I was not sure if he was cruising or not.

3. I am not sure what I have, allergies or a cold, but this morning I woke up slightly congested, and a stuffy runny nose. Took some allergy pills, seems to of worked a bit.

4. I make sure I cool down at the gym, and bundle up before going to my car. If this is a cold, how long is this going to keep on? I usually have maybe 2 bad colds per year, but this time, it is happening too frequently. Course the weather has been so cold. And windy too.
Maybe I should avoid going out with friends on the weekend, avoid any social contacts. NOT!

5. I succumbed to watching the Giants Baseball on TV this week. I have never really followed baseball until last year with the World Series. But so far it's been enjoyable.

6. It was pouring rain this morning, but now its partly cloudy. I wish summer were finally here
