Yay for a 3 day weekend
May. 27th, 2011 08:03 am1. I have not posted, nor read much of LJ.
2. Been to busy at work, and reading my own stuff.
3. I have to renew my Real Estate License. So I am on line, at home, and a bit at work, reading, reading, and reading the on-line course. Some of it is interesting, but most is the stuff that one asks, "what did I just read?" (in one ear and out the other).
4. I may be putting too much into it. But the laws, past court decisions, might or might not be important on the state test. From what I remember, in the past has been pretty easy. At the live seminar, one just sits, listens (if one can stay awake), take the exam in an hour or so, with pretty easy questions.
5. So I have been reading 4-6 hrs per day. And it's exhausting! Have to read each subject within an allotted amount of time.
6. Yesterday, I was up at 6 am, to read, but unable to log on to the site. They had changed the web page. I figured, to click on the "Forgot password" thing to see what happens. I got on, but as a new account instead of a existing account, with a requirement of having to pay and start over reading different material.
7. I emailed support. It bounced back. I called the office. No one there. Finally 4 hrs later someone answered. They could not help, but gave me the number of the tech to call. I left a message. About 2 hrs later the old web site was back, and my account back on track. So I lost all day. I have lots of stuff to do at work this am, but this afternoon will try to do more reading
8. In good news, my GM came by yesterday, and surprised me with my yearly review. It was really good! This company is the most picky ever. So a good review from them is a very good thing. That is the 2nd best review, 2 yrs in a row. The only thing the owners want me to do is be more aggressive with rent increases :(. It is hard wearing 2 hats of course. I feel for some of the residents, but I must remember I am working for the owners.
9. And after a 2 yr wage increase freeze, I will be getting a 2% (max in raises for the company for 2011) raise. Whoop tee do!!!!!!!!!! :(
10. Well off to work!
11. No big plans so far this weekend. SF tonight of course. Will be going to a potluck BBQ in SF on Monday.
