The Weekend and Week so far
Jul. 19th, 2011 09:06 pmState Assemblyman Mark Leno, officiated Tom and Lee's wedding on Saturday (these photos are from my lousy cellphone. If I am not too busy,I plan to update to an EVO this week)
(l-r) Tom, Mark Leno, Lee
1. Friday, yes, I stayed in as did most of the group, for Saturday was the wedding
2. Saturday up early, I was off to the gym then home to get ready for the 1 pm wedding, at Sutro Heights Park (overlooking the Pacific Ocean)
3. There were about 50-60 guests. Although foggy, and breezy, it was a warm and muggy day (better than cold fog)
4. The ceremony was officiated by State Assemblyman Mark Leno. It was truly a nice, comfortable and special ceremony. More so, for it was shared by a group of close friends
5. The reception was held at a wonderful "hunting lodge style" structure at the Miraloma Park Improvement Club, on O'Shaughnessy Blvd.
6. Great place! Lots of delicious food, good music, and a happy crowd.
7. By 6pm, it was time to head home (Jim had to get back to his impatient partner :(
8. Home, within minutes, it time to change and meet some of the wedding guests in the Castro for a bit
9. Sunday, was really the first full sunny day in almost 2 weeks! Taking advantage of that, it was time to work today, to get the building ready for today's owner visit. After the gym, it was off to work. My maintenance man was also showing up. We each continued to try to complete what was on the checklist, that the Management Co CEO provided.
10. Since it was warm and sunny, it was time for me to paint the curbs. And there are a lot! Sunday, would be red curb day. I also continued touch up painting the interior hallways best I could
11. It was getting late, and the clouds had rolled in, so it was time to stop. Pooped, from being stooped over the curbs, it was time to quit for the day, and head up to meet friends in SF for a bit.
12. Monday, it was white curb day. The landscapers were here early, planting new flower beds, thatching and seeding the lawn areas. I repainted some of the elevator doors (there were 4 move outs over the weekend, so of course touch ups needed to be done in the hallways, and elevators
13. Today, stressed, at finding more loose ends here and there (those ends not on the punch list), the property was looking pretty good. Very good in fact.
14. Corporate was informing us where the tour group was. They started in the south bay, worked up towards the East Bay. By 4:30 PM they were just leaving Pleasanton. The initial visits lasted 45 minutes. But by the end of the day, visits to each property was only 10 minutes.
15. Well Pleasanton to here is not that far, but with the commute traffic, I doubted they would make it.
16. They didn't.
17. So they will probably be here tomorrow. Hope they do the 10 minute visit, not the 45 minute visit.
18. Either way, the property looks good. So no worries :)
19. Of course if they don't show, I'll be pissed. But then again all looks great!
