1. Last week was very busy. Our GM, new GM has sent all her properties a poop sheet on what she wants and what to do (somewhat) on determining or forecasting the property's financial budget for the rest of the year. Usually they do that, but looks like she is the delegating type. It's a bit challenging figuring sorting and figuring out the numbers, but kind of fun.

2. So I was busy at hand on sorting through the accounting sections of RealPage (the rent roll/accounting system) of the past 12 months tying to ascertain what the future for all those costs and numbers will hold. Good thing the sheet she sent us was Excel. I created a second page for notes, and added formulas to figure out so far the estimated SGI (scheduled gross income). Figuring out what if any vacancies will occur. Costs of turnover (paint, repair, carpet, and lost rents etc). I need to figure out if any, major expenditures, if any would be added to the system. At least what I can ascertain, there will be no utility cost increases for the rest of the year. Next year may be another story.

3. It is sort of interesting and kind of fun. My father used to work for a company that built the "scrubbers" for industry; a process which cleans the dirty pollutants that came out of factory smoke stacks. They also constructed the water treatment plants for cities nationwide (his employer, Envirotech, constructed the water treatment plant for Lake Tahoe, by which the treated sewage water created a 2nd small lake a few miles away that is drinkable. He was chief estimator of the estimating dept. Estimating the cost of construction 5,10 to 15 yrs in the future. Now that can be tricky!

4. So doing the budget forecast last week, plus being busy doing other stuff, made my Friday night the night not to go out. I decided to forgo SF and stay in. And since Cody was doing the party bus Saturday, it was best to rest.

5. After gym Saturday morning, it was off to BART/MUNI to meet Ho, Mark, and Lee in Noe Valley to get some matching shirts for our Southern Decadence trip. Some lunch, then off to the MINT to meet the guys for Cody's Birthday Party Bus.

6. Cake was served, songs were sung (its a karaoke bar), and the bus arrived. WOW! What a bus! Set as a party/disco theme. The only thing missing was a jacuzzi!

7. So most of the night, we covered 5 places. The Mint, Marlena's The Gangway (never been there before), Powerhouse, and 440.

8. The only glitch was that we stayed to long (almost 2 hrs in one bar). But all we had a blast. On the way back to the last stop, the oldies music if the 70's and 80's played, shirts came off, dancing began (and pull ups on the overhead grip bars).

9. We piled out at 440. I stayed for a bit, then decided to get to MUNI/BART by 12:30 am. I was home and in bed by 1:00 am. Up fairly early on Sunday morning. Gym, and then later off to Marshall's, Old Navy, and Sports Authority to see what sorts of stuff I can find for my New Orleans trip.

10. Later that evening, I relaxed at home and watched the wonderful Olympic closing ceremonies.

11. That was one of the best party bus I have ever been on!!!!!!
