The weekend and week so far

1. It all began Thursday with John,

2. Friday, I was torn as to stay in or do the usual thing in San Francisco. I scummed. It was off to SF to meet Mark, Lee, visiting John for a bit. Later John and I had a nice pasta dinner at Cafe Mystique. Bad news is friend and tender Brad is moving to LA. He will be leaving in about 2-3 weeks. We are trying to plan a dinner with him this week. There is also a party for him at Trax on Saturday.
3. The usual stuff on Saturday. Food shopping, gym. I stayed in that night. Started to clean out my closets. Made a stack of 12 pairs of Levis that don't fit. Tight! They fit 6 yrs ago, or were awaiting a hot wash to later fit. LOL. I will donate them, or bring them to Worn Out West. They pay for them. Not much, usually $20-$40. But hey. Why not?
4. I was to begin cleaning out my computer files and backing up. Never got to that.
5. Since the weather was fantastic on Sunday, I decided to go to the Fog Fest Fair in Pacifica. Most of my flaked, as usual, but Mark ended up meeting me there. Parking is a pain, but one of our sister properties had 2 vacant parking spots for us to use.
6. It was your usual street fair. Live music, food concessions, and booths offering handmade items etc. Not your usual gay fair of SF. In fact, kind of boring.
7. We ended up eating at Marks favorite Thai restaurant. In fact he says he orders dinner to go lots of times, when in the area, and brings it home to SF.
8. After lunch, we ventured to the local bar, Winters. Owned by a handsome guy named Chad, it was always rumored that he was a Hells Angel member, or at least very friendly with them (the Hells Angels had a booth at the fair. With lots of bikes parked near by). It is sort of a biker bar. The Angels do have events there. But it is also a bar used by locals, surfer types, a place to stop by after work for many business people.
9. Anyway when I lived in Pacifica, every Friday night, Sarah (my leasing consultant) and I, with some of her friends (gay and straight) would go there for the live music and fun. Later my other leasing consultant, Patrick, would join me too.
10. So Mark and I walk in. Walk up to the bar, and Jen, the bartender says, "Hi. Been awhile, how are you doing?". I asked, "You remember me? It's been 6 yrs" "Of course!, says she.
11. Then a few minutes later, when Mark and I are playing shuffleboard, Chad, the owner walks by me and says "Hi! Welcome back!" And shakes my hand. Oy. I don't know if this is a good or bad sign, but nice to be remembered. I told him where I was living, and getting here, over the mtn is sometimes out of the way. He said getting back later at night is worse! LOL
12. After a few shuffleboard rounds, Mark left, and I stayed for awhile. Walked the boardwalk, and enjoyed the warm breeze and ocean views. For a change the weather was fantastic. No fog or cold wind!
13. Home very early, made dinner, and watched Amazing Race
14. This week, it rent time. Not sure if I will be covering in Burlingame as yet. Will know later
15. My small office, with the small track lights is like an oven in this heat. So today I am wearing a short sleeve sports shirt. Not company policy, but it's too warm!
