The weekend and week so far
Dec. 19th, 2012 08:18 am0. With LJ down for most of the day, I could not post! And as usual they give us another one day extension on our subscription. If they keep having issues, I might get a free year! LOL
1. Last Friday, a last minute decision, I met Mark, and Lee at the Lone Star for Cubcake, a monthly event. It was packed. It was cold outside, so we stayed indoors. They always serve cupcakes, and have lots of bowls of M & M's. I had only 2 beers that night, but ended up waking up with a headache from eating too much candy. If anyone has not been to the Star lately there is a new bar back that is absolutely hot. Tall, lean muscle, beard. Really cute. YUM! We could not keep our eyes off of him :)
2. Saturday morning, it was off to the gym, Fitness SF to meet Tom and Lee for a good workout. Home, after to sorta get ready for the holidays. Actually I don't have much ready. No tree up as yet. But I did get my holiday cards done.
3. Later that night, our small group met at the Metreon, to go see the Hobbit (3D), with the SF Movie Bears (discounted tix). The movie was very slow at the beginning, but the last two-thirds was pretty good. And of course the end leaves it open to produce another sequel, or two. Before the movie, Mark, Ho and I met to rehearse for the Sunday, Trailer Trash show, Christmas fundraiser. We were doing Milkshake.
4. With the shooting last Friday, it kept me feeling a bit down. You could also feel the tension or quietness out in public, at the Lone Star Friday night. Sad. I watched news unfold off and on on CNN for a bit, but tried to stay away from the TV for most of the time. Too sad. And kept crying every time I watched it :(
5. After the movie, I went out for bit with the gang, but really not in the mood to be out late. Home and asleep by 11:30 pm, I was up early Sunday.
6. Sunday was a late day out, for the Trailer Trash show, at the Edge was to start at 4:30. Met our gang at Patrick's, to get ready, to rehearse, and dress in our trashy drag, and walk down the hill to the bar.
7. The bar was packed! Had not seen it so busy in a long time. The campy show went well. Jim was also there to help us out, and I even got to see some faces I had not seen in a very long while.
8. After a couple of hrs, Ho, Mark and I got changed, and ended the evening at 440 for a bit. I was home early, to prep for the busy week ahead (but was up late watching the depressing news). Have to really finish up my holiday shopping by Saturday. Our Halloween, neighborhood girls (7 of us) are doing a potluck on Saturday, and gift exchange. Each of us are buying one gift ($20 max). Pull a name out of a hat, and that person gets a gift. Later on, we will be off to Cody and Jacks' home for a holiday party open house.
9. Not sure but I think I might be getting a cold sore. I prevented one from appearing last time, so hopefully I will succeed again, if I am indeed getting one
10. Well off to work! Happy Hump Day!
Here is someone trying to get into the spirit :)
