At the Rainbow Cattle Co
1. Last Friday, Lee, Tom and I drove up to Guerneville (Russian River) to join our friend among lots of friends and acquaintances for Daddy Ray Tilton's 50th birthday celebration. Even though I returned home Sunday exhausted, it was worth it.

2. The R3 (Triple R) was booked with the celebratory crowd. And to boot the weather was great!

3. Traffic was fairly light on the way up. And a stop at Wendy's for dinner was a must.

4. Once we got to the room, unpacked, and met the group at the Rainbow Cattle Company.

5. Six of us were sharing a room. Mark and Patrick got the bed. Tom, Lee, me, and Ho were on the floor in our sleeping bags. I don't mind sleeping on the floor. In fact my bag is comfortable for a good nights sleep.

6. But this time, none of us (except Ho) slept well. The group of guy next door were partying until 5 am! Noisy. Guys going in an out of the room, stomping on the floor, loud laughing, talking and such. We think they were doing some sort of party drugs.

7. Saturday, after a great breakfast at Pat's Diner, it was a relaxing day by the pool. Chatting and catching up with faces I had not seen in a long time.

8. We had purchased our choice of dinner tix for the birthday event that night. The choice was pasta, or prime rib. I chose the prime rim. It was ok, but quite fatty.

9. Tables were put out, and the stage set up for the dinner/birthday celebration show. Irene Soderberg drove up from LA to sing her great tunes. And of course Donna Sachet was also there (and there by the pool in the afternoon out of drag!). Mark did a song with Carlos and Ho dressed in Jack Daniels bottles. All in all the show was great!

10. Ray has a tendency to get emotional. So when he did, toilet paper rolls were tossed at him.

11. After the dinner and wonderful thank you speech by Ray, we were off to the Rainbow for more celebration.

12. We ended up later at the R3, dancing to 80's disco music until last call. Had a great evening!

13. Sunday morning, we were on our way back home after breakfast. Exhausted (mostly due to the party boys making me lose sleep Friday/Saturday), it was an early night for me (9:30 pm!). And it was an early to sleep last night.

14. Work is a pain already this week, but I'll survive. I start the gym stuff tonight again. My shoulder is still acting up so will avoid anything that will aggravate it.

15. Next trip to Guerneville will be for Lazy Bear Weekend:)
