THE CAVE
1. Without doubt September, October, and sometimes November is one of the best weather months in California. Especially here, in comparison to that annoying fog and wind during the summer.

2. So Friday night, I stayed home (I did go to the gym though that night), in anticipation of an early to rise to for the gym Saturday morning, and for a trip to the beach, San Gregorio, with Tom and Lee.

3. It was to be close to 80 degrees at the beach that day. It ended up being very close that all weekend!

4. I texted lots of my friends Friday, and seems Tom and Lee were the only SF ones willing to go. I still contend that most of my gay SF friends are totally afraid of leaving SF, for if they venture just feet from the city county line, they may explode. Or is there a glass wall preventing them from leaving? LOL

5. So up at 7 am, to FitnessSF/SoMa gym, and back home for breakfast, then to wait for Tom and Lee, to join me for the drive to the beach.

6. Wether we took Hyw 1 through Pacifica, or the 92 to Half Moon Bay, the beach traffic was horrific. So I took the 92 part-way to Skyline Blvd, then drove south to La Honda Road, then west to the beach. Maybe a bit longer in miles but at least we were moving at a fast pace.

7. The beach was wonderful. And surprisingly not too crowded. We found a good fort/condo easily.

8. The most remarkable thing was that on the way down, we could see pods of dolphins frolicking and surfing the waves close to the shore. There must of been over 20 of them. I have lived most of my life here, and have never seen this on the San Mateo coast before. I guess due to the time of year, I had never seen so many birds as well. The beach was packed with seagulls, and huge pelicans walking the shore. Must be the fall migration thing.

9. The wonderful thing is the tide was out, which gave us the opportunity to walk into THE CAVE. It's been maybe 20 years since I was able to do this due to the tide timing. The photo does not indicate, but the roof of the cave is over 2 stories high inside. Very cool.

10. Lee is always shy, but Tom got naked instantly once on the beach. Once out of the cave, I finally took off my suit. Freedom! Yay!

11. After a great few hours at the beach, it was off to the beach town of Princeton, for clam chowder, then home.

12. Too much fun and sun made for a great relaxing and early evening at home. Saving energy for the Castro Fair on Sunday.

13. Up early did my local gym, then later on took BART/MUNI to the Castro to meet up with friends for the day. It is really pretty tame fair, and I was considering not going. But being another nice day, why not? Plus it is the last gay good weather fair of the year. Glad I went, and glad I also got home early as well.

14. Work so far even though it's the beginning of the week turned out well. We have a deposit on one unit, which puts me off Hot sheet (less than 6 available, which means less breathing down my neck from corporate) and also received a corporate application from some young guys that own a start-up IT company here in town. So if all these pass the test, it will be less pressure on me.

15. Well off eat breakfast and off to work. Happy Tuesday everyone!
