Gym manners
May. 1st, 2008 08:30 amLast night I went to my large commercial gym, to strictly work on the leg press, and other leg exercises. Leg presses were a priority. What did I find? A waiting line! One guy on the machine with 2 waiting. The last guy had 4 people (wife and kids). Just taking their time, and turns, and I think hogging. Although the guy with massive legs pressed 845+ lbs. I really think, that spending your time in that corner for over 30 minutes is a bit excessive. Others were waiting. Shouldn't there be a time limit? Or at least some consideration? I usually tell one waiting that I have 1 or 2 sets left as a courtesy. Or at least try to hurry it up.
Initially I thought of walking out and going to my Old Style gym, which even though a small gym, no waiting! I would of lost 10-15 minutes driving. I should of done that anyway.
So I did other machines instead. But my priorities were nixed. I hate it when there are 3+ people sharing a machine. You wait forever.
