I just got back from Safeway (or Von's, Genuardi's, Randall's = same owner), with very little.

Cereal (Go Lean)
Milk (2 for $7)
Cheese ($4)
Peanut Butter (2 for $5)
Apples
Bananas
Strawberries (1lb, 2 for $5). My first of the season! I should of bought 2 boxes. I am finishing the first in minutes :(
Butter

All for $35!!! I think this would of been $20-$25 six months ago.

Glad I don't shop at Whole Foods!

And now Stamps are up too?!?!?

I was pleasantly surprised by the prices at Wal*Mart.

Now, given my druthers, I'd sooner join the Borg than shop Wal*Mart, but money is a bit tight right now, so we compromise on our core values.

We don't have a Wal*Mart close. 30 miles south. With the cost of gas, driving there and back would not be a big saving. So opt for Costco, Lucky, Safeway and of course the Dollar Tree (weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

Oh, and peanut butter is one of those things that goes on sale regularly. Unless, you want that trendy Smart Balance Omega stuff.

And, eat your berries. They're good for you.

Actually the Smart Balance P Butter is quite good (I buy the regular butter all the time). But tonight I compared the ingredients to Jif. Jif looked quite appealing. So I bought 2!(2 for 1). I am a P Butter-aholic. I can empty a jar in days :). Add Honey or Molasses (and try cream cheese!).... even yummier

PS I finished the berries in an hour. I want more!

Yeah, I was noticing that. Dominic was a big peanut butter-eater, so I used to get the larger jars and I discovered that the Food Lion-store brand was much tastier than the major brands.

Although, I have to admit, that I've been buying the trendy Smart Balance Omega the last few times.

Remember to cut up your berries right away, so they don't dry out or get moldy.

Too late. I ate all of them. (Oy! wait till the am!). But next time I will. And maybe put some powdered sugar, and milk on them. Yum! (My trainer will kill me!) Not for the milk, but the sugar. :). Well, time to take my Lipitor (lol)
