Years ago, I used to patronize this one old lakeside resort that had delusions of becoming a trendy gay resort. Two men led the nightly line dance, one of them looking something like David Caruso, but with an unusual hair style.
I kept staring at the man's hair, trying to figure out what was so fu* about it. Then, I realized the problem. It was his part. It was on the back of his neck.
The man had teased and sprayed some lengthy neck hair into an golden orange cotton candy helmet. I heard a story about how the wind caught it one day and peeled it back like a convertible top.
It's not the "fu" so much, as it is the "*". It's the MS-DOS wildcard for "from here to the end of the string". In this instance, the wildcard substitutes for "cked up".
