1 Went to the cemetery yesterday to visit my mom. Her plague is still not on the niche next to Dad. Weather absolutely beautiful, as was the ride on I-280.
2. Placed some flowers, said a few words. Few tears.
3. Then visited my late partner who is also in the same cemetery. Some tears.
4. We are having the memorial, a light thing, on the 27th. Then a luncheon for at Il Fornaio (where we had my mom's 85th birthday last yr).
5. I have not really thought of what to say at the small memorial. At first told my sister let's not do the priest thing, since mom was not that religious
6. Then thought maybe we should. Have him read the 23 Psalm "The Lord is my Shepard" thing, since my sister says my mom liked it.
7. Then maybe the priest can do a blessing, I can say some words, etc
8 I have been avoiding calling the cemetery for priest references....
9. The reality of all this is slowly creeping up :(
