1. Last night I nixed the gym due to working late
2. So today, although sleeping in was so tempting, I was up at 5:30 am, and to the gym
3. But today the body was not as strong. Some days I am strong, other days weak. Funny how that works. I did chest and shoulders. I did not bench my usual weight. My energy or strength was just not there. So as my trainer said, it isn't always about how much you lift, but also about conditioning, control and form. So with a bit lighter weight, I did more reps, more sets (4-5-6).
4.Home withing an hour and a half, feeling great. Glad I did not sleep in.
5. I am back to the gym tonight just to work on bi's. Working out twice in one day is not normal, but my week this week is off due to work, weddings, trainer schedule,etc. So will try it out. If not as strong tonight, I will just opt for lighter weights. Also I have been working hard on crunches for the last two weeks.
6. Lately I have felt that I had reached a plateau. But maybe not. I ran into a hunk of an nice guy at 440 on Sunday, who had not seen me in 6 months. He asked what happened to me? I looked great, he said. I am all huge and bulked up.
7. I needed that. I think I will keep on and continue with my young trainer (plus his rates are really good!)
