cellboyBern Ripp of Palm Springs died yesterday at 68. He and his ex-partner (and still best friend) David St. John moved there approximately 10 yrs ago from Menlo Park, CA. David St. John is distraught.
Bern's life was just going on the upswing -- he found a new boyfriend, he had a job at a schoolyard (where he took his dog Daisy Marie to the delight of the kids) and he hosted many a Palm Springs party, and Thanksgiving dinner for lots of people. He was in Santa Barbara with his new boyfriend (where the BF lives) to celebrate Christmas together when he died. He was only 68.
