Comfort food for a cold and cold weather
Dec. 21st, 2008 04:01 pmOK. This weather may not be as bad as what you snow belt peeps are in right now, but it is cold, damp, and rainy out there..... So time to make a quick soup!
My mom was the best in making homemade soups. But sometimes she would cheat and open a can, or package mix and add to it....
So as a lazy quickie, I made this one that mom would do once in awhile (I also liked it cold out of the fridge)
1. Packet of the Chicken Noodle Soup (Lipton, Safeway, whatever)
2. After simmering, add one can of Chopped Tomatoes Italian style.
3. Continue to simmer. Serve
4. Instead, this time I added a can of Chopped Tomatoes with green chilies. Spicy!!!
5. You can add bay leaf, diced chicken, and other stuff if you want to too.
YUM
