I just received through my live journal address, cellboy@livejournal.com/and to my personal non lj address, a site to join.
I did not think a web site could contact me.
But this one might be fun too (woof). If I join, now it makes 10 sites!!!! Oy!

Not a good idea.

The guy who runs this site also runs some other affiliated sites, and contantly spams his users with unwanted email, even if you remove yourself from the sites. I was once on a leather-related site of his and finally had to block all emails coming from him.

I used to have an AOL account and I started getting spammed about some "trendy" place in Miami. We don't do "trendy" and I had to block the "SOBs".

This has nothing to do with you because I know you were just passing on info. But I am in a pissy mood tonight so it's just gonna come out.

I know that it's a "thing" for some guys to watch other guys smoking. But sitting there watching that front page was like watching paint dry. If I want to see a bear smoking I will hold up a mirror.

And you aren't the only one who has gotten spammed by them. I have gotten it 4 times, to my regular (non-LJ) email address. So they are trolling the LJ journals and spamming the members because that is the only place they would have gotten my email addy.

Big time losers if you ask me. I think I would steer clear of the site.

Thanks. I received this to my personal email also. I bounced it back. If it continues I'll block via my server. I did try to see what happens if I joined. Seemed to be missing a step, the password step to enter... fishy. Well if this and other things like this happens again, I'll send lj a nasty note... :o)

I think you click on the Bear face at the bottom (New Users) to register.

Thanks. I did that, put in my user id, and pic, clicked. then no other prompts. I then tried to log in, then asks for password. There was none to begin with. So I clicked on forgot password, which then said they will notify me, which they didn't. I'll try again later. Or else forget it. Not a big deal.
