tonight's test
Jan. 1st, 2009 10:01 pmI was in the mood for oven baked fries. Recipe from Joy of Cooking, you just take a Russet Potato, cut in wedges, put in large baking dish, and either coat with vegetable oil or olive oil, or melted butter, and bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes at 350-400 deg.
Well I had no potatoes, or butter, and out of olive oil. So I used a Sweet Potato (the light skin color, with yellowish meat, not yams). Put many dabs of Smart Balance Butter, and baked, uncovered at 350, for about 30 minutes.
And it turned out yummy! Served with a small T-bone steak and some Brussels sprouts.
The only bad part was I fell into watching Mission to Mars while eating. Bad acting (surprising considering the good cast). Effect were OK, and the theme/story/idea fairly good.
