Last post tonight (for your and my sanity)

1. My trainer is changing his training to Wed nights and Saturday mornings. YaY. That means I can go out Saturday nights, and go to the gym on Sundays later in the morning.
2. I think all is over with my cough/cold. My cute Dr. emailed me and said X-Ray shows clear lungs. I cough a bit, especially at the gym, but not major
3. Done with antibiotics since last Friday. Eating Probiotics to get back on track. Gives me gas though.
4. A bit weaker (from antibiotics) at gym still. I leg pressed only 665 vs my 845 in December. It will come back. I hope to get to at least 20 plates shortly.
5. But I worked out hard tonight. Leg Presses. Leg curls & leg extension super sets. And calf raises.
6. I am really liking this old style gym. The machines are old (a few I think from the 60's). But even on those machines there are a few competitors that have recently won championships. It is never crowded. I think on a Monday (which usually is the busiest in most gyms) there were only 10 people. Saturday there was only 6. No waiting. And less distractions.
7. Plus all are serious. Get in and get out. And they are all nice ;)
8. I still go to Bally's once in awhile (paid up for 2 yrs), but the large commercial gyms feel so different. Like your on a cruise ship with Julie McCoy. Plus they are in Chap 11. And looks like they also may fold.

ever heard of...

it is 10,000 times more effective than vitamin C as a timed released/nanotechnology-based super antioxidant combo...for longevity, raising the lactic-acid threshold, significantly; and the pH in the foods you eat, and in the body...
:D

I'm curious, are you going for build, tone, or power on your workouts?

It sounds like you're doing power on your legs.

All three. Initially I wanted to build bulk. Get beefy. More muscle. And I was. And even doing that with protein drinks and all, my waist size was still getting smaller, and I was increasing a only a little bit if weight. Then due to my own fault, I put my back out. Which set me back. Then with the cold/cough in Dec it put me out again. So we are now working on conditioning/power, which will build muscle. No Personal Weigh Records. Just slightly lighter weights and more reps. This will also build. Then later work on bulk. This will still bulk me up. Then later we will change up way of exercising to get me more slim but not loose the muscle. My trainer had to take some time to watch how I develop. All people are different and the body reacts differently to working out (genetics). He tailors different ways of working out for his different body type clients.
One secret is mixing it up. Do different types of exercises lets say for bicep curl. That confuses the muscle, and then grows the muscle.
