my nicknames over time :)
Mar. 26th, 2009 10:22 pmOver the yrs friends/family have labeled me with many nicknames
1. My sister used to call me KiKi (instead of Ricky)
2. Then in high school, the PE teacher called me tupes. He could not say my last name Latulippe (La-tu-leep). So I had 4 yrs of that. I sort of liked that, coming from an ex 49'er coach, and hot black man. I think he really liked me in spite of my non athletic abilities.
3. Then in college I was called Rickster (I liked that one)
4. Then my first gay friend called me Daisy. He, like my PE coach could not remember or pronounce my last name. He knew it was a flower of some sort. So he picked Daisy. "Hi Daisy!" he yells to me, as I enter a leather bar (Oy!)
5. Then a bear of a hunk friend lost his job, so I rented my couch to him (he could never share beds with anyone. Although we had sex often :). We were watching cartoons one day, and Chip and Dale were on. Somehow we ended up calling each other those names. I was Chip. This went on for years :)
6. Then later on, other names, whore, slut, tramp, were common place names for me from my friends. At least I was not named butt hole or dickhead :)
7. The more recent one of the last 6 years, a friend decided to call me Snatch. Not sure why, but I thought it funny, and did not bother me much.
8. So as of last week, during my trip to Mexico, a new name arose. We were talking of old tv shows, and Bewitched came up, with discussion of our favorite characters
9. I mentioned that I liked goofy Aunt Clara. And that her obsession with door knobs was interesting, and that I sort of had or, was considering collecting them myself.
10. My late partner was an antique dealer, and of course in our travels in and out of estates, antique stores, I realized that Aunt Clara had a valid hobby. There are some absolutely gorgeous doorknobs out there. Hand crafted, some in crystal, some in silver with embossed designs. Some out of beautifully carved wood.
11. I never bought one or many. For where do you store them? Note: We did visit an estate sale, where that deceased person did collect that very thing.
So as of last week, Ho now calls me Aunt Clara :)
