cellboyHappy Belated Easter everyone. And no. I did not tie up that bunny in the past Easter post :)
1. Although I missed several events last weekend; the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" 30 yr anniversary, and some other street fairs in SF; my visit with my sister, her family and my new grand nephew was very very nice. And so relaxing. And so was the weather (sunny and warm, not cloudy and cold.. YAY! Shorts!)
2. Saturday night she had two couples over to join the family for cocktails. One of my sister's friend, has a son who is gay (lives in Santa Cruz I think). She told me that she has a friend in the Sac area that I just have to meet. We would be a good match. This is the second time she told me this. Well, hurry up girl! I ain't getting younger!
3. Last week was not the best week at work. Although I did lease 5 units on Friday, with a 6th app as a back up!
4. This is too difficult to explain, but you know how a company can be a good fit for you and visa vera? This one doesn't. I have known this for about a year. Plus I have been doing this long enough, and been around the block doing this type of work to know. In fact some peeps have said that they are surprised I have stayed with this company this long. Well, I am here for income, but if something better comes along.... I'm off.
5. So after some thought over the weekend, I am off to shooting out resumes. We shall see. Market is slow, but who knows. Timing is also the key. I will stay till I find something better.
6. I am open of course to a SF (prime choice) location. But also Palm Springs, and as a last resort, Sacramento.
7. I have updated my Monster account. The economy is slow. I used to get Monster notices often per week. Now its at least every two weeks!
8. I am also sick of the SSF weather. The wind. San Francisco has better climate zones.
9. With last weeks busy events at work etc, I realized while at my sisters last weekend, that I forgot to pay my property taxes. OY! Now I have to pay a penalty :(. This is the first time in over 10 yrs that I have done this.
10. Not sure if it's work, weather, or maybe just me, but I have been fairly depressed or down lately. I know this has been going around. I do need to get more sleep. I hope it isn't anything more than that.
11. Some man on DH, who lives in Montreal, wants me to seriously be his Boy. He is cute, but ha! I can't even get a local thing going let alone a long distance thing. So I don't think so. And telephone dating, well, I think I can do better than that.
12. I hope soon to meet up with that DH man from the north bay. He is to come down this maybe this month some weekend. He just bought a new car to replace the totaled one. So maybe this weekend or next? Who knows. Maybe his visit will cheer me up? I haven't even met or talked to him personally. So we shall see. He seems to be a last minute notice type. I prefer a day or two notice, but let beggars not be choosers! But if it doesn't pan out, no biggie. :)
13. I have decided to change my tune with the maintenance man. I am trying to be nicer to him when I order him around (since a tenant told me that he is a mama's boy). It seems to be working, I think. Maybe ordering him around like a Master/slave/daddy/boy, just is not the key :)
14. Since I first typed this up on Monday, my mood is much better. Still a bit lethargic, but more up.
15. I am somewhat caught up at work. Organizing my apt, desk and papers....which in turn turns into organizing my life.
16 As of last night, I thoroughly cleaned the bathroom, apt, laundry, paid bills. Now I feel better. Maybe these small accomplishments, which I had been putting off, is all I needed to feel better. Who knows.
17. And I have all week been trying to change my attitude about work. Well, it is a bit better, but I am still going to look for other work venues. Maybe I am just burned out on doing the same type of work? (Why did I not stick with ICS (Information and Computer Science) in college. Then it was so archaic in the late 70's. Remember FORTRAN? COBOL?
