ugh

1. With my trainer taking me off his list this month, due to his schooling, I am now loosing some motivation.
2. I push or drag myself to the gym. But once there, and seeing them "at it" (especially the hunks) I then get somewhat motivated. Of course with no one pushing me to do one more rep, it is a bit harder to push myself to do one or two extra reps to "failure". I really need a workout partner.
3. For months, I have had a monthly schedule(s) developed by my trainer.
4. But this month I am changing it up on my own.
5. Others, I know train 6 days a week. But most say it is best to take 2-3 days off to repair, which I know.
6. So one week he had me with one day off. The next week 2 days off. These 2 days off are either back to back or one at the beginning of the week and the other at the end of the week. Maybe that also contributed to my being so tired (as well as going to bed late).
7. So this week I took Sunday and Monday off. I start my workout week tonight and will work out through Saturday. And see if my energy will be better.
8. With going to sleep by 11 on Sunday and at 10 pm last week, my energy is better :)
9. I really need to try to work on getting up early for gym, instead of gym after work, then having the night free.

Yeah it's pretty much the same with me. Can't win either way; I'm tired, whether I work out in am or pm (I just finished dinner at 9 pm!). So will try am for a few days and see how I feel, and to be sure to eat well after/

The problem is, when you're tired and work out, it's actually not good for you. Or is that just one more rationale to not work out? LOL

Probably a bit of both. I think being a bit tired is OK. But being overly tired, one must rest to repair. I did get up this am, but went back to sleep LOL (but did gym after work... and feel a lot better :).
