Rule 1.
When boiling artichokes, always remember to
1. Put a kitchen timer on, or
2. never leave the room to go on line
3. I just burned my pot and artichokes.
4. I think I saved the pot, by scrubbing with Comet. Did not save the artichokes tho :(
5. Thank goodness for smoke alarms
6. My place now smells like a smokey bar :(
5. Time to air out the place
6. Hope the odor is gone by the morning

Next time dump some baking soda in a bit more water and boil for a few minutes, helps clean up the pan.

Yep! I forgot about that one. Sometimes, boiling white vinegar works too (but then again, I may forget the boiling pot again! lol)

coulda been worse, I left eggs on Sunday. They explode everywhere
