weekend update ramble

cellboy1. My sister, brother-in -law, and nephew (woof!) came down for the night on Saturday. Always enjoy their visit. My sister and I get along so well; we act and giggle like little kids when together.
2. We did the Basque center for dinner. Brother-in-Law had sweetbreads, Sister had Rabbit (Thumper), and my nephew and I had grilled shrimp. Asparagus soup. Lots of bread, and a wonderful salad. Some Basque wine of course.
3. We rolled our stuffed selves back home, to crash. I gave my sis and B-i-L my room, nephew had the sofa, I took the spare room.
4. Not much sleep for me, for my turtle kept digging in his tank, remodeling, by moving rocks around (he must be gay).
5. Up early, and drove them to the Airport, for their trip to Cabo.
6. Back home, to sleep
7. Eagle beer bust later on, sunny, warm, and packed
8. Then to Triple Crown for a Ducal event. It was good. Checks were presented by the Ducal Court to Project Open Hand, Camp Sunburst, Pets for the Hearing Impaired, and others.

sfmijo, as the current Grand Duke. This year, they raised over $18,000 for various charities. You go girl!
10. Last night's event got me thinking, that I think I need to get a bit more involved in volunteering, as I did in the past. It sure makes one feel good.
11. My trainer is canceling our appt tonight (due to his work), but I am still going anyway, even tempting as it may be to skip the whole thing.
