1. Saturday started off with the 13th annual Holiday Leather Brunch for Positive Resource Center, at the Edge Bar. Although it cost $20 for entry, the food was wonderful, open bar (Mimosas or Bloody Mary's) and the entertainment fun. Donna Sachet hosted, and Michael Brandon played Santa.

2. Then it was off to Mazzetti's Bakery in Pacifica to purchase some deliciously baked cookies for John Gutierrez' cookie exchange and Christmas dinner.
3. It is usually the same crowd at this event, that you only see once a year. And good catching up with all. And the same married man, that keeps flirting and groping me. This is a once a year thing. Ugh.
John was serving a Spanish drink. Much like a Mimosa; Valencia orange juice, champagne, and Vodka. Too strong. I just stuck with wine. The food as always was fantastic. And his 5 desserts amazing.
4. Sunday was sleep in day, and to later pick up friend Griff to see the Peter and the Wolf at Davies Symphony Hall. Originally Leonard Nimoy was to narrate. Tonight's narrator was Linda Ronstadt
5. It was cute seeing all the kids enjoying the concert, which was marvelously performed by the San Francisco Youth Orchestra.
6. The program began with Tchaikovsky's Russian Dance from the Nutcracker Suite. Then Prokofiev's Troika. Later more selections from Tchaikovsky and J. Strauss.
7. Except for two slight mistakes, Linda Ronstadt narrated well.
8. The only disappointing thing was that it was rumored that she would possibly sing a few holiday ballads later on.
9. She didn't
10. The evening ended with a joyous sing-a-long of Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
11. After the concert, Griff and I grabbed a wonderful Greek meal at La Mediterrane in the Castro. We were greeted by two absolutely hunky and cute servers. But our server was a girl :(
12. Then it was off to drop off Griff, and look at his holiday trees and decorations. His roommate was the window designer at I. Magnum. So you can imagine how beautiful his tree is. Griff used to be a florist. And his tree, was also exceptional.
13. After tonight, I realize that I need to get to the symphony more. I forgot how wonderful it is. And after this weekend, maybe I am just a bit more into the holiday spirit.

I hope Brandon has been able to slay his personal demons. I hadn't read anything about him of late, so it was good to see him in that pic. Plus, he looks great with a full beard.
