In it's ninth year, and for the first time, the BCEF event was not a dinner event (due to the economy), but a cocktail party instead. The event was fantastic. And entertainment awesome. And the new venue was great (Forest Lodge in Forest Hill). No dinner but yummy hors d'oeuvres, and very strong drinks (thanks

downshifft!)

Awards and certificates of honor from the California Senate were bestowed to Cancer survivors, and to people of the community that so give so much of their time to our the human community. Donations from one of the past recipients, the husband of deceased Faith Fancher, was also noted (one of the past BCEF dinners was to also honor the life and generosity of Faith). Many will remember Faith as one of KTVU's news anchors.

And aside from this, 2 people got pinned now becoming members of Mamas Leather Family. They were absolutely thrilled! And as an update to his previous pinning as "Mama's Assemblyman" ; Mark Leno, was re-pinned as "Mama's Senator". He said he will wear it at the Sacramento Senate meetings on Monday :)

I was there, (a bit late) mingled a bit, but sat for most of the event, behind huge Hunky Daddy Mike (I had to swerve to the left and right to see the events on stage every time he moved (lol)
