Auto Memories (part 1)
Dec. 28th, 2009 01:25 pmSome of the earliest memories of cars that come mind, are these that I remember as a young child growing up in Quebec.
1. The 1957-1959 BMW Isetta. When visiting my aunts and uncles in Plessisville, the neighbor across the street had something similar to this. I was amazed that the door opened in front. And that it ran on three wheels.

2. The Nash Metropolitian

3. The Amphicar. We lived near various lakes, so I saw other vehicles similar to this around town.

All of these were tiny, and reminded me of my Dinky Toys (British version somewhat similar to Matchbox) that I played with. I still have a box full of these toys somewhere in storage.
These would be fun cars to have today :)
