1. The insurance called to tell me they are declaring it a loss.
2. I have the choice of keeping the car, or not.
3. I keep it, they pay me out $2200. I don't keep it, $2500. The mileage is what help in the 1993 value
4. The gal, said I would be a fool to give up the good mileage. It's impossible to find a 49,000 mile car for a good price (even for the repair costs).
5. So I will use this amount to add to the total due to repair (which I will work on estimates and such after I get back from vacation) .
6. So I am feeling better, although my rates may go up for a year. It is still going to cost me to repair, but the payoff will be a big help.
7. The DA just called to thank me to thank me for testifying in the wife beater case. She said had it not been for us 3 residents as witnesses, the case would of been thrown out.
8. The defendant was asking for no jail time. The judge granted him, 45 days in jail, and one year probation with one year spousal abuse class time. Now I just hope the guy does not come back later to retaliate.
9. Yesterday and today was busy. I leased 3 units (also leased one last Thursday and moved them in Saturday).
10. So I believed things would get better, and they do. I guess it could depend on ones outlook, patience, and not panicking (I can do that easily).
