1. I lost 3 more pounds this week. Probably because I ran out of protein powder, and therefore less water retention. Now that I have started the protein drinks again, lets see what happens.
2. I made the switch to turkey bacon. I could actually eat the whole package of real bacon with no problem. And I figure I could do the same with turkey bacon too. It is very very good!
3. Now that would defeat my diet now wouldn't it? :)
4. Since I start vacation next Friday, my trainer is working me doubly hard, and maybe almost every day next week. :(. Oh! I mean :)

Do you have a Tanita scale?

It'll give you your relative % of water/fat/bone. Very handy, and vary depressing sometimes ;-)

Not yet. I keep thinking about getting one. Someone told me it really is not that accurate. The best way is to do the water displacement test in the tank thing instead (now where am I going to do that? LOL). I will get one though, but sometimes it's best not knowing :)

The question isn't of absolute accuracy (they're right, it's not absolutely accurate), but rather, relative accuracy. Example, the number may say that you're 200lbs, 16% fat and 55% water. If, 2 weeks later, you are suddenly 205lbs, 17.5% fat, and 55% water, you have in fact gained 1.5% bodyfat (no, I didn't do the math to see if all those numbers make sense). The question is were you really at 16% bodyfat to start with. That doesn't really matter too much, as you're really just trying to make that number smaller.

And yes, the most accurate method today is the dunk tank. Sometimes gyms will have a special event so you can get dunked. Ask your gym when they're going to have their next dunking session, and if they didn't have any planned, to plan one.
