Leather Walk.... a quick recap
Sep. 19th, 2010 09:36 pm1. Although, a bit drizzly and muggy, at the onset; leather walk went well.
2. It seems, though, that the attendance, gets less every year.
3. However, there were three other major events going on today, and with the threat of rain.... well, you know.... girls just don't want to get wet.
4. I provided the balloons the 2nd year in a row. This year with the help of some hunky leather boys and sirs, we blew up 300 balloons! The leather flag colors of course!
5. Mama, as she did with so many others that helped this day(and days in the past), presented me with a nice plaque...to say Thank You. Awwwwww. So sweet. I love you more!
6. So the procession marched on down Market Street, in the very humid and drizzly air.
7. We made our way down and ended up at the first stop, The Powerhouse. With free water available to all. At that point the sun came out. YAY! The next stop was Chaps Bar. We packed that place! Then the last stop was The Eagle Tavern, for the beer bust and food.
8. Towards the end of the afternoon, our small group of friends, ended up at 440, for Furry Sunday, then the Edge for the Ducal roast event.
9. Today, Leather Walk raised about $10,000. A far cry from last year's $20,000 (or $40,000 4 yrs ago). But with the state of our economy, this is not too bad.
10. We all had a great time today!

Many are visiting SF this week for Folsom Street Fair. Eduardo is visiting from DC. Woof! The gentleman behind him is the founder of Leather Walk, Art Tomaszewski
