A very small........tree
Dec. 17th, 2010 09:20 pm1. OK. I decided to get a tree for the holidays. On a whim, I thought, I need something to get me in the mood.
2. So I thought, how about a Rosemary tree, like the one I purchased for a Xmas dinner gift last week at Trader Joe's.
3. So at lunch I first went to OSH, then Lowes, to find sad looking, or no small trees at all. So decidedly, I went to Trader Joe's, purchased the little tree, and then to Walgreen's to get some colored lights (It is too much work to dive into my storage to dig out lights, including my old tree)
4. Up, and smelling great.... and little by little putting me in the mood.
5. One box that was easy to reach, from storage, had a few gift bags, and stuffed animals.
6. Within 30 minutes, I was done. It's a bit juvenile, but hey. Why not.
7. It is probably the smallest tree I have ever had. But at least I did it :)
Although my place is not decorated in holiday spirit, at least this corner of the room is trying to be festive. Let's see how my allergies hold up too! This Rosemary is pungent!
8. It is sitting on a pillar astray from the 1930's. You know the old ashtrays you would see in hotels, filled with sand, with used cigarette butts sticking up. I just put a round glass on top, to make it a small side table. No sand of course! :)

The old way: This is the way I used to do it. Maybe next year. This was done at my old apt in Redwood City 5-6 years ago.(I really miss this place, especially the floor plan).
