Edge Bar to close

cellboyToday on Facebook the Edge Bar manager announced that this landmark bar is to close it's doors Sunday night (of course who knows what might happen before then).
Figures. They have been struggling for awhile. Most of my friends are not surprised. They needed to change it up. Which they didn't. A bit of remodeling would of helped too (which most of the other venues have done, to perk up the business). The music was not the best. But bartender Mike, was the best! Poor Mike!
They could not get the recipe right. Why is Toad Hall, Midnight Sun, Mix, Moby's, 440 doing well? The changes they made a few years ago, seemed not to help. It slowed business down. They had a perfect opportunity to lure the crowd standing in line next door at Badlands, and across the street at Toad Hall. Oh well. I remember this bar in the 80's when it was a Lesbian bar, Francene's! Now that was a big change! :)
Of course to be fair, the owners of the building may be raising the rents.... which of course does not help.
