I was getting a lot of that on DH. Between that, and the radical change in how they worked, I nuked my profile (you can find the drama if you go back in my LJ history, but I don't know if I tagged it). Basically it came down to them letting everyone in for free so they could boost their network, then shutting off all useful and basic features for non-paid members. Rule number 1: don't take away features people are used to having. Instead, make new features that are pay-only. That way, everyone gets better value.
